Psychologists think there are two main reasons why people procrastinate. Some people enjoy the excitement of being late. They enjoy the energy they feel when they have to finish something quickly. Other people feel anxiety about the thing they have to do. They are afraid to fail. Because of their anxiety, they are afraid to start. What can you do to stop procrastinating? One way is to use a timer. Set your timer for 30 minutes. Try to work during that time. When the 30 minutes is up, set your timer for 15 minutes. Do whatever you want during that time.
