PRACTICAL EXERCISE
Using a 'bounded system' you are very familiar with, design an intrinsic case. The 'bounded system' you choose could be an event you were involved in, your place of work or a community you belong to. There is no particular issue to identify at this stage, you are investigating the ‘whole’.
Design the case study following these steps:
1 Define the case boundaries.
2 Describe the nature and function of the case.
3. identify the key informants in the case.
4. Decide on a number of appropriate ways to collect data from the case study site and/or members of that community.
5. List your major concerns in terms of what could go wrong with your case study.
