Developments in augmented reality (see the “Augmented Reality” sidebar), machine learning, and natural language processing will transform the Web into a medium that seamlessly permeates into our social fabric.
To become ubiquitous, the Web should speak the language of the user and be able to communicate in ways that are best suited to the user.
Speech recognition logic is already built into the Chrome browser—it should be possible in the near future for the Web I/O to happen in audio and video, in the user’s native language, without having to use a keyboard.
