Classroom Observations
During my visit, I had the opportunity to observe a mathematics
class at a public elementary school (4th grade) and a middle
school (8th grade).
I found that all Korean classrooms were equipped with the state-of-the-art technology regardless of the location and socioeconomic status of the school.
Cooperative learning was effectively utilized in all classes.
Students worked in groups of four, and the classrooms were equipped with small
desks that easily allow for rearrangement of seats to facilitate
group learning.
