Different studies have shown that hydration plays an
essential role in the tolerance of prolonged exercise,
suggesting that it promotes a better response to increased
body temperature [2,7] and ensures the maintenance of
physiological functions and the proper functioning of
homeostatic mechanisms required by the practice of exercise
[8,9], helping to maintain blood pressure and cardiac
output constant, thus supporting the increase in cutaneous
blood flow and sweat rate regulation according to the
body temperature [3].
