Study of pH change was adopted to make sure about any
metabolic activity of the microbial strain in supplemented
medium, as metabolism shown by microbial cells may
greatly support the evidence of degradation. The pH of the
each bacterial suspension was measured at an interval of
10 days during the study. The pH probe was inserted in the
broth to measure the pH. Initial value of the medium was
ensured to be 7 ± 0.3 for both strains using phosphate
buffer.
