cry1Ab gene (s) from B. thuringiensis has been reported
to provide protection to the plants against tomato fruit
worm (Fischhoff et al., 1987; Vaeck et al., 1989). In this
study, we evaluated the potential use oftransgenic
tomato plants, expressing a cry1Ab gene from B.
thuringiensis, to control H. armigera under Indian
conditions
