3. Application Qualification
(1.) The foreign students (neither ROC citizens nor overseas Chinese of foreign nationalities)who apply to FGU are subject to the school regulations in foreign student admission. The person who holds ROC citizenship, including dual citizenship, is not qualified as a foreign student to apply for entrance unless eight years after the Ministry of Interior Affairs notifies the applicant of nullifying his/her ROC citizenship. The eight years refers to the period between the date of the notice and the first day of the school first semester being applied to.
(2.) International students with a high school diploma are eligible to apply for undergraduate study; students with a bachelor’s degree are eligible to apply for graduate study in Master’s programs at FGU.
(3.) International students who have already completed the application process for a degree program, or who have been expelled from any R.O.C. university, are not eligible to re-apply for admission.Breaking either of the above rules would result in immediate cancellation of the applicant’s admission or the applicant will be deprived of his recognized status as a student of FGU.
(4.) Applicants must have a reasonable command of the Chinese language and have passed all the courses taken in the school. An applicant for undergraduate admission must have earned an average grade C or 70 marks and a grade of C or 70 marks in each of the major courses related to his/her intended field of study at this university. An applicant for graduate admission must have earned an average grade B or 75 marks and a grade B or 75 marks in each of the major courses related to his/her intended field of study at this university.
