The modification and/or demolition and later reconstruction works shall minimize interruption of existing plant operation. The reconstruction shall be of substantially the same type and substantially in the same condition as the original road, drainage system, utilities, and facilities. Contractor shall exercise care at all time in case of construction of underground pipe and cable trench passing through existing road to avoid traffic interruption of existing road. Removal and disposal of debris and all demolished materials shall also be the C0ntractor’s responsibility. The cost of such demolition, reconstruction, relocation, removal, and waste disposal incurred in changing the location of road, drainage system, utilities, and facilities shall be bome by the Contractor. The Contractor shall be responsible for the design and construction of the interfacing areas with due regards to prevent any interference or damage to the existing facilities; such as; roads, trenches, drainages and etc,. If the construction activities cause any damage to the existing facilities that are currently being used, the Contractor shall carry out remedial works to recover those damaged facilities to their previous conditions with his own expense. Existing plant drainage system shall be relocated to the direction shown in DWG No. BPRP1-C-011 by the Contractor prior to connnencernent of construction work. Sizing of new drainage system shall be equivalent to the existing systems which will be relocated. The cost of such relocation, removal, and waste disposal incurred in changing the location of any drainage system, utility, and/or facilities shall be borne by the Contractor. Relocation and modification of existing plant drainage system shall be carried out in the manner of not deteriorating its function and efficiency. Temporary storm drainage shall be Volume 2 Page 2A-4
