The purpose of this paper was to carry out optimization of the electrodes of the GDA with regard to the electric-field strength between the electrodes.The differential evolution optimization algorithm was used for this purpose. All of the computations of geometrical variables were made within a Matlab environment, where all necessary data were prepared for the creation of finite elements and computation of the electric field using the EleFAnTsolver.This prove d to be a very efficient combination that combines the use of an optimization algorithm with numerical computations using FEM.
