1. Most pregnant AHB patients
were from rural areas of Shandong Province (90.9%).
The mean length from onset of signs and symptoms to
hospital admission was similar between the two groups.
Of the 22 pregnant AHB patients, 8 were in the first trimester,
8 were in the second trimester, and 6 were in the
third trimester of pregnancy. The mean length (minmax)
of pregnancy was 17.3 (7–31) weeks. 72.5% of the
patients ever exposed to at least one potential risk factor
of acute HBV infection. No pregnant patients had gestational
diabetes mellitus.
