Further serotyping of the Salmonella strains resulted in five isolates of Salmonella enterica subsp. salamae (three from coriander and two from basil, all originating from Cyprus), three isolates of S. Thompson (two from basil originating from Israel and one from coriander originating from Cyprus), one S. enterica subsp. diarizonae from coriander from Cyprus and one Salmonella Infantis from basil also from Cyprus (Table 2)
