Only 47.1% of women reported having a breast examination by a physician in the past year and nearly 25% reported never having one. In general, women performed breast self-exams more regularly (38.2% in the past month and 55.1% within the past 3 months), but 27.1% reported never having performed one. Only about one third (32.3%) of all women had a mammogram within the past year, and 30.2% reported never having one.
