The reaction between PFDTES and
filterpaper results in the transformation of hydrophilic to
hydrophobic paper surfaces, with a WCA above 1208 because of
exposed perfluorodecyl (–C10H4F17) end group of the PFDTES-SAM.
A WCA value of >1208 of the PFDTES-treated filter paper was
observed in only 15–30 min, as shown in Fig. 3
