To check the thermostability of rSM-22, aliquots of diluted
protein were incubated at increasing temperatures (60, 75, 95, 105
and 120 C) for 5 min and then put in ice-bath until measurements.
Fluorescence was measured for both the purified protein and its
Lyso C16-complex in the presence of four molar excess of substrate.
All the experiments were done in technical triplicate.
