I agree with the logic and the Thai price list was not intended for the open outstanding POs. My apologies for not clarifying the issue.
For the outstanding PO#415264 which was changed to a DSA Thailand PO, please apply the exchange rate of 31 to the present US$ price to obtain the Thai Baht price. We will certainly honour the prices we have committed before. The new price quotation is only for new purchase orders and subject to DSA's acceptance.
When we started the C-leg project, we assume that material for this product is produced together with the material for the base cover production. Now that we are not producing any material for the base cover, for a much smaller batch production, the cost goes up significantly. The other costs increases involved labour and consumables for the spray painting.
In looking back, we might have been too aggressive when we started the C-Leg project and under cost a lot of the components. We cost the C-Leg project on marginal costs assuming that a lot of the costs like spraying and material production were riding on the back of the base covers. Now all the costs will have to stand on its own legs, so to speak.
It is therefore understandable for you to comment that the "increase" was significant as we started with an unrealistically low base. The quoted price is only reflecting on the current cost status.
