optimization techniques. Jakumeit et al. [16] performed an
optimization of process parameters in the deep drawing process
using a new optimization Kriging strategy. The parameterized
time-dependent blank holder force was used in order
for the deep drawing process to be controlled. Zhang et
al. [17] presented a simulation model for the flat surface–
straight edge hemming process, and numerical simulations
were used based on design of experiments
(DoE) and Latin hypercube sampling. Paralikas et al.
[18] presented an optimization method of the roll
forming process, based on a semi-empirical approach
and the Taguchi method. The responsibility of the main
roll forming process parameters on main redundant deformations
was calculated for a U-shaped profile.
