• Homogeneity enhances the ability of organizations to mobilize support and gather information. In addition, because the fundamental basis of networks is the relationships among individuals, mutual trust must precede such relationship. These social relationships are understood as the root of individual behaviors, which affect organizational homogeneity, trust, and, as a result, the formation of network relations. Among the various social relationships, marriage and school ties are most easily observable and influential in developing mutual trust and homogeneity in Japan.
