D1 corresponded to P. delicatissima
highest abundance detected in the eastern English Channel and the
southern North Sea whereas
tanks D2 and D3 aimed to exacerbate the potential impacts induced
by P. delicatissima exposure. Maintaining constant phytoplankton
abundance in tanks D1 to D3 required scheduled addition of
P. delicatissima cultures, i.e. f/2medium (Guillard, 1975) and associated
P. delicatissima cells and nutrients. The impact of f/2 medium addition
on fish was separately tested by setting up an additional control (C2
