The main structural issues to check are:
Impact damage to any part of the structure, particularly upright damage and beam damage.
Out of vertical uprights.
Condition of racking components particularly base plates and beam to upright connections.
Cracks in welds.
Condition of the floor of the building.
Position of the loads on the pallet.
Safe Working Load (SWL) Load and racking safety information notices are present and up to date.
No storage positions are overloaded.
Stability of the loaded pallets is satisfactory.
Positions of cargo on pallets is satisfactory.
All loaded pallets stored above head height are shrink wrapped.
