Second, the present study looked into the contribution of HRM, or organisational
empowerment as a bundle of HRM activities, to the enhancement of organisational
performance. It has been argued recently though that the understanding of HRM
shaping in organisations necessitates a study of market, institutional and
configurational factors (Boselie, 2009). Therefore further research should address
these issues too and their impact on fostering organisational empowerment.
