Dissolved oxygen content during storage
Just after filling, the initial concentration of dissolved oxygen
was very low in PET or glass bottles (0.24 ± 0.015 ppm) proving the
good control of oxygen ingress during the filling process.
During the first month of storage, a decrease of dissolved oxygen
was observed for both PET and glass bottles in relation to the
consumption of dissolved oxygen by oxidative reactions (Fig. 1).
Whatever the packaging, this first step was followed by the stabilisation
of oxygen concentration at a low level (
