3. Undertake a Training Needs Analysis
Identify the gap between 1 and 2
2. Identify HS competencies required of the position
This will depend on:
• The level of responsibility of the position (generic competency)
• The environment (hazard specific competency)
The tasks/activities to be undertaken (task specific competency)
4. Implement Training Plan
5. Individual Attends Training
6. Assess Competency
• Competency is assessed for competency based courses by an appropriate method
• Assessment of competency in undertaking a specific task or activity is by observation
7. Maintain Records
• Training delivered centrally is captured through UNSW Systems.
• Local area in accordance with the HS Records Register
8. Undertake Refresher Training
Assess the need to undertake refresher training
