In order to select the most suitable sorbent and
eluent for the intended purpose, a manifold similar
to that depicted in Fig. 1 was employed. The
eluate from the sorbent column was collected in
glass vials containing anhydrous sodium sulfate
and 1-l aliquots of the extract were manually
injected into the chromatograph with a syringe.
