Although the circular arrangement of the tool area is similar to
a pie menu, the main difference lies in the fact that tool icons on
a pie menu are operated by conventional mouse click, and tool balls
on the tool area are operated by the mouse wheel and a mouse
click. Contextual menus accessed with a right mouse click offers
improved efficiency for some functions over a generic menu bar,
but normally only a limited range of functions for each object. In
this study, our focus is the development of an improved GUI based
on the features of mouse wheels.
