• The outputs have two purposes. The first is to identify
whether the objectives have been achieved.
• For example, if the objective is to increase throughput
by a certain amount, then it is obvious that the model
needs to report the throughput.
• The second purpose of the responses is to point to the reasons why the objectives are not being achieved.
• This might require reports on resource utilization and work-in-progress levels at various points in the model.
Outputs (to determine achievement of objectives)
• Percentage of customers queuing for less than 3 minutes Outputs (to determine reasons for failure to meet objectives)
• Frequency diagram of waiting time for each customer in the queues, mean, standard deviation, minimum and maximum
• Time-series of mean queue size by hour
• Staff utilization (cumulative percentage)
