Through 2 estrous cycles, 82-84% of moderate BCS (2.5-3) ewes were conceived, while only 17% of very low BCS ewes were conceived. Also, the estimates of lambs born per ewes joined (LB/EJ) and kilograms born per ewes joined (KgB/EJ) were the highest in ewes that had moderate BCS (2.5-3) at mating. BCS did not affect both lambs born per ewe lambing (LB/EL) and pregnancy period.
