5-CQA was then purified in a silica gel column from the CGA
mixtures. The monitoring of 5-CQA purification (97% of purity) was
made by TLC (Rf = 0.6) and HPLC, and its structure was confirmed
by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy (Table 2). The purified 5-CQA was
identified by comparison with spectroscopic data reported by
Budryn et al. (2009), Hernandez et al. (2009), and Bhatt (2011).
