A list of documents that are required to be kept in the employee personal files was issued by the VP, HR to all the HR personnel in October 2015. 5 employee personal files were reviewed and they contained all the required documents. However, out of 5 resigned employee personal files reviewed, 3 employee exit checklist had items left blank with no indication of whether the items were not addressed or not applicable.
Going forward, the VP, HR should ensure that the HR teams fully complete the exit checklist and items which are not applicable should be indicated as such.
