This study aims at assessing whether the increase of both dietary starch (St, from 60 to 103 and 147 g/kg) and soluble fibre (Sf, from 100 to 138 g/kg), obtained at the reduction of insoluble fibre (by replacing dehydrated alfalfa meal with barley meal and beet pulp, respectively), might guarantee high growth performance and carcass quality, besides improving gut conditions and the health of rabbits.
