Sapalot season returns. . .
When I first arrived at Lamplaimat Pattana School last year, it was passion fruit (sapalot) season. The kids and I would go around hunting for these delicious fruits together every morning before school. It was one of my earliest bonding experiences with them.
This morning, I stumbled upon a single sapalot accidentally, and it reminded me of how much time has passed. The sapalot season is almost here again.
This fruit will always be a symbol to me of the passion I have for teaching, and of the joy I have found in being "teacher Melissa" to these precious children whom I love with all of my heart.
