3.2. AgNPs aggregation and dissolution kinetics
The SPRB area evolution over timewas followed by UV-Visible spectrophotometry
in solutions containing a fixed initial amount of AgNPs
(44 or 90 μM). Upon addition of NaCl to the solution, the pH wasadjusted to 8.0±0.2. In absence of NaCl, AgNPswere stable over timein
terms of aggregation (Fig. S1). With increasing NaCl concentrations, different
behaviours were observed depending on the type of polymer
used as coating for the AgNPs. Natural fjord water was also used in the
kinetic aggregation experiments.
