Among the PUFA in milk fat, Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA) was altered significantly. CLA is composed of positional and geometric isomers of linoleic acid (C18:2n) which can be found in food derived from ruminants, exerting inhibitory effects in carcinogenesis (Belury, 2002). In addition, a linolenic acid (C18:3n3) was increased. This acid can play an important role not only in cardiovascular diseases (Simopoulos, 2002; Singh and Bachan, 2011b) but also in brain development and regeneration of cells in the nervous system, especially in infancy (Christaki et al., 2011c).
