Next up under the microscope for EDITD’s collaboration with The LFW Daily, was the Heritage trend we’ve seen evolve and emerge on London’s AW 13/14 catwalks in a new form. Ever since Kate Moss paid homage to the great British outdoors in Barbour and Hunters at Glastonbury, heritage has been on fashion’s radar. Quilting and waxed jackets have moved on and for AW 13/14 Daks, Clements Ribeiro and Christopher Raeburn showed us how it’s done. Tartan prints, tweedy fabrics and chunky knits don’t have to be retrospective; this season designers gave heritage a new twist, with contemporary flavours. Daks’ paired tartan with metallic leather in cropped shapes and Ribeiro went full-on punky.
