According to Felder (2009), it was found that language teachers who adopt grammar translation technique to teach English subject results in ineffective learning English in Thai teens. The Ministry of Thai Education (2008) reported that after 10 years of the revision of Thai education, the results were not as desired due to the lack of qualified teachers and the lack of effective teaching methodology. Moreover, Mark (2011) reported that to reach the national goal in improving Thai English ability, the qualification of the teachers should be considered as teachers who are the gatekeepers between the subject and students in the classroom play the most important role and are the deciding factor in the success or failure of the instruction. From this fact, many educators concerned about Thai students’ English ability, so several studies pointed out that the readiness and qualifications of teachers should be considered, so the Ministry of Education revised all education systems, and indicated that
teachers who teach English should have both a solid technical grasp of the language and an effective teaching ability (Felder, 2011). However, some schools cannot reach this government goal as students and/or teachers in some schools have inadequate education and their English proficiently still at a substandard level (Suyda, 2010).
