Results of the interview/findings
The questions were posed before the interviewees from the questionnaire. Based on
the comments of the interviewees the responses were rated on a six-point Likert scale,
where 1 indicated that the barrier was not significant for free trade and 6 indicated that
the barrier was critically significant for free trade. While assigning the ratings, we asked
the interviewees if that rating would be correct for that barrier. The significance of the
barrier to free trade is depicted on a six-point Likert scale. The six-point Likert scale as
used in this study forces the respondents to take a definitive stand rather than a neutral
one (Takase et al., 2005).
