prevention

stroke

as

the

primary

endpoint.

All

published

studies

and

trials

have

focused

on

coronary

or

cardiovascular

events

in

patients

with

a

history

of

cardiac

atheromatous

disease.

The

inci-

dence

of

recurrent

stroke

was

too

low

to

allow

these

studies

to

detect

significant

differences

between

dietary

interventions.
