The objectives of the study are to develop fully PLAcellulose
based bio-composites and also improve the processability
and mechanical performance of bio-composites
using a new multifunctional bio-additive. The thermorheological
properties of bio-composites were extensively
characterized by TGA, heat distortion temperature (HDT)
and twin-bore capillary rheometer. The tensile strength,
flexural strength and impact strength of bio-composites
were determined using a universal testing machine
(Instron) and an impact strength tester. The internal orientation
of cellulose fibers in composite were investigated by
X-ray computed tomography (CT).
