At the seat of this Principal Buddh
At the seat of this Principal Buddha is kept a golden-urn containing crematory ashes of King Rama I consecrated by his grandson King Rama III.
The second level of the pedestal holds images of the two chief disciples of the Buddha name “Phra Moke Kala” (left) and “ Phra Salee Butr” (right).
The lower level holds images of other disciples of the Buddha. The royal offerings are also placed here such as the alms-bowl, the insignia fan, a box of monastic robes.
This hall is actively used, it's also used for the daily recitation of monks who reside in the temple. There's an elevated platform right there where monks can congregate together and kneel down in lines to perform chanting. At the front of the platform, there's a throne-like preaching chair for the senior monks or the abbot of the temple to give sermon. The interior walls have painting of murals depicting the story of the Lord Buddha’s life. The door panels are decorated with the mother-of-pearl inlay portraying scenes from the Ramayana story, the famous Indian epic poem.
