Referring to the above definitions, one could argue that 'corporate culture' incorporates values, norms
and practices, including corporate experiences deemed valuable enough to be passed on to new
members of an organization. Since corporate experiences form part of corporate culture, one could
deduct that the older an organization is, the deeper its culture will be rooted and one can therefore agree
with Ndlela and Du Toit's (2000) statement that 'culture is to an organization what personality is to the
individual.'
