Teenage Pregnancy & Teenage Childbearing. Teenage
pregnancy was coded if the participant reported a history of
pregnancy, regardless of pregnancy outcome, between the
ages of 13 and 19 years. Teenage childbearing was coded if
the participant reported a history of giving birth as a teenager
between the ages of 13 and 19. These variables were taken
from the Sexual Activities & Attitudes Questionnaire (SAAQ),
computerized administration. The SAAQ is a validated
measure. Reliabilities for the factor analyzed scale items of the
SAAQ range from .94 to .37 with the majority of alphas ranging
from .61-.94
