adults with different levels of familiarity with information technology in order to get a broader picture of the challenges they face,and insight into different ways of coping with technology. No
information was gathered about personal characteristics such as personality traits or intelligence. Although these characteristics may play an important role in the ease with which individuals (learn to) deal with technology, they were not within the focus
of the studies as defined in Section 2.5.
