P. chinensis juveniles exhibited hyper-osmotic regulation in salinities lower than the
isosmotic value and hypo-osmotic regulation in those above. Since the deviation from
the slope of the isosmotic line slopes1. reflects the degree of regulation, P. chinensis
juveniles appear to be an efficient regulator, as compared to P. aztecus, P. duorarum
Castille and Lawrence, 1981., or P. semisulcatus Clark, 1992..
