When analyzing glass containers, one of their most interesting characteristics is their returnability. In order to analyze whether differences exist in the percentages of returnable containers used in each country, an independent sample t test was carried out as before. The results obtained indicate (without being able to reject the equality of variances in Levene’s test) that differences exist at a significance level of 0.10 in the average percentages of returnable containers used in each country. Specifically, the use of returnable containers is more widespread in Belgium, where 48% of the containers used are returnable, as opposed to 26% in Spain. Maybe the difference in the size of the country has some influence on the proximity between consumers and bottling or packaging companies resulting in the returnability of containers being higher in Belgium than in Spain.
