Results and discussion
Data on profile water, soil temperature and pan evaporation on north and
south of the plantation as a function of distance are presented in Table 2.
Moisture extraction, plant population and grain yields of mustard and
wheat as a function of distance are depicted in Fig. 2. The experimental
points of north side (dark circle) and south side (open circle) show that there
exists a general tendency of growth and yield parameters being higher close
to the tree crop interface (short distances, 0-4 m) in the north than those in
