5) Observers should not say anything throughout the course of training. Instead, observers should indicate on the “Trainer’s Checklist” (attached) whether the trainer adequately completes each substep.
6) At the end of the session, the trainer should be the first to discuss what he or she felt went well and where improvement is needed. The learner should then follow with his or her comments on the trainer’s strengths and areas for improvement. Finally, the observer should review the “Trainer’s Checklist” and give it to the trainer for future reference.
7) After each ten minute session and five minute critique, participants should rotate roles and complete the exercise again.
