Nestlé to build US$136m Dubai factory
Swiss food group Nestlé will invest AED500m (US$136m) in a new manufacturing facility at Dubai World Central, the firm has said.
The 175,000 sqm manufacturing facility for nutrition, culinary and coffee products will create up to 800 jobs, the world’s biggest food company said Tuesday.
“Nestlé is committed to strengthening our presence in the Middle East markets. We will continue to invest in projects that enable us to better serve consumers in the region,” Yves Manghardt, chairman and CEO Nestlé Middle East, said in a statement.
The Swiss giant, which sells 1bn products every day to global consumers, opened a new factory in Dubai in 2010, its first new confectionary manufacturing facility anywhere in the world for more than a decade.
