I totally agree that this is a must have for fans. My daughter and I really enjoyed watching the drama and all the bonus features – especially the NG’s and the “Making Videos.” These made me appreciate more this drama.
My only issue is the changed background music played in some scenes. I was able to watch the drama on-line and seeing Cheon Sung Yi, or rather Jun Ji Hyun, dancing Bruno Mars’ Marry You really made my day. The music was changed though in the DVD version and it did not have that same effect as when I saw it with the Marry You music since it was supposed to be a marriage proposal gift for Do Min Joon. The music was different also in other scenes like when the character Hong Bok Ja (comic book store owner) first met Do Min Joon and when she met him again & offered him the origami cranes – the “I’m not buying” scene. Those are some of the hilarious scenes and I can’t help but to compare the effect of the background music and I’m sorry to say the first versions I saw were better than those in the DVD.
Other than this, I love the entire DVD package and of course I love Kim Soo Hyun! The very first DVD I ordered at YesAsia was The Moon that Embraces the Sun. I love Kim Soo Hyun there and I love him even more here in My Love from the Star. I was rooting for him to win again as Best Actor at the Baeksang Arts Award but well anyway to be nominated again right after his very last drama really means he’s way up there in the league of very good Korean actors. I hope he keeps up the good work and hats off to Jun Ji Hyun for winning a well-deserved Daesang (Grand Prize!)for TV for her portrayal of the character Cheon Sung Yi. She and Kim Soo Hyun were an amazing pair in this drama.
