The nutrition is important for premature infants with crisis. The appropriate feeding maybe helpful to growth development in premature infants. The aim of this study was to measure serum and gastric juice epidermal growth factor(EGF) and gastrin(GAS) levels in response to early minimal enteral feeding(MEN) in premature infants, evaluate the clinic effect of early MEN. Premature infants with critical score<90 were randomly assigned into two groups:experimental group (early MEN group,n=48),Control group(whithout early MEN group,n=47).Other premature infant(n=30) without any complications was assigned as normal control group.Clinical symptoms had been observed in three groups. Serum and gastric juice EGF and GAS levels were monitored at 1,3,7day after birth. The levels of EGF and GAS in various facters were studaied. Serum and gastric juice EGF and GAS concentrations in three groups towards ascendent from1 to7 days. In early minimal feeding group and whithout early MEN group the concentrations were significant lower than those in normal control group at 1 day. At 3,7day, the concentrations in early MEN group were significant higher than than those in whithout early MEN group. There were significant difference in three groups about the infants with feeding intolerance ,the period reached full enteral feeding, hospitalized day,the weight gain in three and four weeks after birth, the period reached birthweight. There were not significant difference in three groups about the numbers of premature infants with infaction, anima, apnea, hypoglycemia. Mulitiparity, the way of deliver, the time of feeding, diabetes mother, hypertension of pregnancy contributed to the serum level of EGF and GAS. Early MEN in premature infants lead to secretion of EGF,GAS.Promotion the development of gastrointestinal and less complications.Alternate abstract:
