The following two points are important in
promoting the recycling of livestock wastes the use
of compost. The first point is to establish technology
for producing high-quality compost from livestock
farms which meets the demands of crop cultivators.
The second is to establish a method of fertilizing
crops which takes into account the needs of the
environment. Molding composted livestock wastes
into pellets can solve both problems, and seems to
be a promising technology. However, before it can
come into widespread use, there are still problems
remaining to be solved. The most important is to
reduce the manufacturing cost.
